They play a key role in Indian cultural traditions, rituals and customs that are still based on ancient beliefs of the jewel as a magical amulet and symbol of power. India draws deeply on the power of the narrative of emotional values expressed with jewels and combines this ancient knowledge with the technological innovation for which it is well known today.

Gem Visions India 2012 Design Directions:

Passionate India - This trend celebrates the essence of life through the special occasions in Indian culture that mark an individual’s milestone moments. Jewels are fashioned for Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, and Akshaya Tritiya and especially for that most perfect occasion, the wedding day.

The color palette is a veritable rainbow of gold and silver, champagnes and dusty pinks, warm reds and emerald greens, as well as zesty yellows and grassy greens. These are powerfully accented by electric blue and black. Fiery pink, intense purple and bright orange ignite for celebrations.

Studio- This artistic trend is a new and poetic re-emergence of the heritage traditions of fine Indian craftsmanship that reach back over more than 5,000 years.
