The work “Hidden Fragrance” successfully displays the traditional Chinese jade carving handicrafts by bringing free Chinese painting and calligraphy into western jewelry design concept. The designer has boldly carved a jade as the main part of the necklace and matching it with diamond and gold by breaking the traditional handicraft of using metal as the base and insetting with gemstones. The special “Yin-Yang carving art” helps the work to reflect the contrasting and conjoint laws of nature: the peaceful flower and the dynamic leaves; the bud and the patulous necklace; the warm and smooth jade and the hard and glaring diamond and gold.
