The Tuum project was conceived by two young Italian entrepreneurs, Michele Alberti and Simone Finocchi, on the idyllic border of Tuscany and Umbria in July 2009.
Tuum in Latin, actually means ’Yours’. Tuum offers a complete collection of highly crafted jewels, manufactured through an original and exclusive casting process. The brand honors itself in being of the highest quality, and is proudly “Made in Italy.”
As quoted by the founders, Tuum’s “Customers are completely ’universal,’ where there is no limits on the age, gender, or faith of the individual.
The collection includes band rings, wedding rings, bracelets, necklaces and even a fountain pen. All pieces follow the same inspiration; a gift to the spirituality and the history of our human race. Throughout the range you can find silver, 9kt and 18kt, yellow, white and rose gold, precious and natural stones and diamonds.
The rings represent the beginning of Tuum’s history and collection. They are the first example of a unique casting process and express the high levels of craftsmanship and pursuit for perfection. Latin scripts are caste in a relief and then given various finishes. All Tuum’s rings are finished in a secret process, increasing longevity and protecting the jewels from the elements.
ORIGINE
The name has a double meaning: not only it recalls the cultural value of a millennial history universally known, but it is also the first Tuum jewel, which gave inspiration to the project. The design is unique: five lines of text frame the iconic “P”. Tuum wanted to emphasize the “P” of Pater rather than a symbol , such as the cross, as the latter encompasses already an interpretation, while Tuum, as “yours”, wants to emphasize the personal area, as everyone can read the spiritual message and interpret it in "his own way".The Origine collection is available both in burnished and bronzed silver or in 9kt and 18kt gold in three different colors: T-gold, white gold or pink gold. The gold version can be embellished by brilliants positioned in the 19 “O” of the prayer.
TUAM
The collection Tuam comes right after, with the Ave Maria Latin text in relief. Just like Origine, it is available both in burnished and bronzed silver or in 9kt and 18kt gold in three different colors: T-gold, white gold or pink gold. The gold version can be embellished by brilliants, this time on the “M”, whose design reminds a belly with a Tuum Flore inside, which is a symbol of life. The “M” of Mater is also the “V” of Ave which you can read vertically.
ANIMAE
Animae collection is the rhodium plated collection. It represents the soul of both Origine and Tuam rings, before the galvanization is made. Thanks to the shine of rhodium, the words of “Pater Noster” and “Ave Maria” stand out in an extraordinary way. There is an exclusive “Animae Mater” version, with black brilliants positioned through a complicated manual embedding process.
COLOR
Color collection is based on the same ring as Animae, but every space between the different letters of the text has been filled by a hot coloured enamel. A very difficult procedure which can give birth to both “Pater Noster” and “Ave Maria” versions in eleven different colours.
DECEM
Decem represents the Tuum innovative interpretation of the rosary ring. It can be burnished silver, rhodium-plated, 9kt and 18kt gold (yellow, white and pink) and also with brilliants or other precious stones manually positioned in each “Ave Maria” through a really complicated embedding process.
LA FEDE
La Fede is a unique wedding ring obtained by a new extraordinary casting technique. What at first sight looks like a decoration, is actually a perfect microsculpture with the Latin “Pater Noster” words written in relief in just 4.5mm width. It can be in 9kt and 18kt gold (yellow, white and pink). In the La Fede Trialux version, the ring is embellished with three brilliants and in the La Fede Aeterna version, it is completely surrounded by brilliants. The essence of La Fede is to wear the three colours together.
UNICUS
Thanks to the precious gold, the Latin words stand out clearly, protecting the diamond. The result is a ring which, since ever, is the ultimate expression of love and eternal commitment.
Infinituum is the latest Tuum ring. The design is inspired by the infinity symbol, where the open ends allow the motifs “P”, “M”, “A” and Flore to stand out. Flore, the symbol of life becomes the symbolic texture of Tuum. Infinituum marks a natural evolution of the brand. Faithful to the idea of making messages tangible, these rings pay homage to the firstborn Tuum creations, in a sense that they are designed and created to be interpreted and lived.
