December 2009

Inspired by the imagery and lore of the Chinese zodiac, Tiffany designer Paloma Picasso creates a collection of charms depicting each of the 12 animals that make up the horoscope’s 12-year cycle.

Paloma’s Chinese Zodiac captures the vitality of each animal—and the human personality it represents—withthe bold expression and superb craftsmanship that are hallmarks of her brilliant jewelry collections forTiffany & Co.

Each 18 karat gold charm is a perfect gift for honoring the character and spirit an individual acquires either by chance or destiny. “The Chinese zodiac is a wonderful birthday tradition,” said the designer. “We all have a curiosity about thezodiac and whether it influences our lives.”

Paloma Picasso animates the creatures’ distinctive traits in proud profile or playful pose, with a raised hoof orpaw, flaunted feathers or gleaming mane, and eyes of sparkling diamonds. These and other details make forfascinating encounters with the zodiac’s inquisitive monkey, restless tiger, self-assured rooster, quick-witted horse, passionate dragon, resolute ox, sensitive rabbit, sensual snake, etermined ram, loyal dog, patient pig and tenacious rat.

According to Chinese tradition, these animal signs are also assigned to months (called inner animals) and hours of the day (called secret animals). Together they celebrate the beauty and complexity of human nature brought magically to life by Paloma Picasso.

Paloma’s Chinese Zodiac is available at select Tiffany & Co. stores worldwide.
