After a recent visit to TanzaniteOne, US Retailer, JTV (Jewelry Television) have kindly made a generous donation of school supplies and text books to the Naisinyai Primary and Secondary School that are supported by TanzaniteOne and their Tanzanite Foundation.

Jewelry Television’s co-founder Jerry Sisk says “We are thrilled to work so closely with TanzaniteOne. Our visit to Tanzania has shown us first-hand how tanzanite is mined and brought to the market. We are well aware that sales of this precious gemstone help to support the local communities and we will do what we can to assist. I know that this donation of school supplies and text books will be well received and appreciated by the children and teachers alike”
Hayley Henning, who heads up the Tanzanite Foundation in the US says that TanzaniteOne is deeply committed to supporting the communities that surround the tanzanite mining area. Through the work of the Foundation, TanzaniteOne and their members have contributed greatly to the community and to date have built two schools, a medical clinic and a community center. Fresh water supply is also pumped daily from neighboring TanzaniteOne, and is responsible for the watering of up to 5000 head of cattle every day. “TanzaniteOne is delighted to collaborate with tanzanite retailers and their customers to encourage their support of the Tanzanite Foundation initiatives, and will continue to do so”
