Montblanc - Preuves dʼAmour ladiesʼ jewellery collection

October 2013

Montblanc will unveil a new chapter of its Preuves dʼAmour ladiesʼ jewellery collection, which is inspired by celebrated love stories. Preuves dʼAmour – tokens of love – takes as its focus heroines of legend and literature.

After Ariane and Helen of Troy, the two latest themes evoke the goddess Venus and Rapunzel, the fairy-tale princess famed for her long, golden hair.

Each theme in the collection has its own unique aesthetic, but all share a contemporary creative translation, in which striking contrasts are complemented by delicate artisanal details. The result is an array of highly original pieces, ranging from the subtle to the spectacular, that appeal to modern womenʼs spirit of romance and sense of style.

Celebrated for centuries by poets and artists, sculptors and musicians, the Roman goddess of love and beauty was a natural source of inspiration for the Montblanc Preuves dʼAmour collection. The “Venus” theme epitomizes this ideal of femininity in a series of beautiful, ladylike designs constructed around a central filigree motif of graceful swirls discreetly integrating the Montblanc Star emblem. The themeʼs key piece is a large ring with the dynamic swirling motif highlighted by a soft pink gold finish within a circle of stainless steel. It is accompanied by a bracelet, pendant and earrings, while the same designs are also available with a striking gunmetal finish.

“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your golden hair…” The classic Brothersʼ Grimm tale of the beautiful captive in the tower has fascinated generations. Rapunzelʼs long braid is naturally the leitmotif of the Montblanc Preuves dʼAmour “Raiponce” theme, whose standout piece is a extravagant sautoir woven from three separate strands of sterling silver, one with a pink gold finish, and ending in delicate tassels. It is complemented by a woven ring, bracelet and earrings. The elegant “Raiponce” theme also includes an array of eye-catching silver cabochon rings – two round, two oval and two square – set with semi-precious stones. The luminous cabochons, in pink quartz, amethyst or moonstone, either complement the silver with their pale lustre or stand out in bold contrast.
