During her trip to Argentina, Lydia rediscover the rhodochrosite, even if she knew this stone for a long time… Indeed, you can find this stone everywhere in Argentina, in ornemental stone, or in cut object, as well as in gemstone with pure orange color. Ethymologically, it names comes from greek rhodon (pink) and chros (color).

Rhodochrosite is also known as the « Rosa del Inca », according to a diaguita legend evoking two lovers living a forbidden love, and whom bodies where found as a stone, like blood petals, short time after their death.
