Following its overnight success, the Tourbillon cufflink model now comes in a new array of colours. It is also beginning to win fans beyond the circle of watchmaking aficionados. The global Swiss brand, TF Est. 1968, continues to break new ground and announces a selection of new products for the BaselWorld fair.

More than 500 retail outlets in two years! A true success story in the world of affordable luxury, TF Est. 1968 cufflinks, inspired by the master watchmaker’s art, were snapped up in next to no time, not only by the most prestigious watchmaking outlets on the planet, but also the international mass distribution channels. These go-to accessories embody the concept of a trendy alternative luxury and use Swiss craftsmanship to showcase their creativity and colour enhanced by a carbon ground.

Encased in a cage of steel, sporting an array of carbon details, a genuine watchmaking mechanism in perfect working order accompanies every movement of the wearer’s wrist. Through what appears to be the transparent sapphire-treated crystal of a watch case, the eye is beckoned towards a voyeuristic display of technical achievement. Design-wise, the lack of conventional stem accentuates the functional aspect of the piece, preventing it from rotating on its own axis. A neat and snappy precision spring clasp system holds the piece in place, anchoring it firmly to the shirt.

The particularly robust TF Est. 1968 cufflinks are air- and watertight, resistant to shocks and aggressions of all kinds. They also come in other variations on the mechanical watchmaking theme: moon phases, and a soon-to-debutat- BaselWorld 2013 ‘globe’ version.
