Harakh: Luxury with a soul

May 2019

Harakh diamond jewelry is conceived and crafted with an eye to every detail that goes beyond the usual standards of high jewelry. Harakh Mehta, a fourth-generation diamantaire, believes in the beauty of a piece of jewelry that goes beyond its aesthetics and craftsmanship.

Harakh collections are dedicated to the spirituality of India, and inspired by the motifs of the founder’s childhood, including the elephant, a symbol of wisdom; the peacock, national bird of India; the frangipani flower, a symbol of immortality; and the traditional haveli home. Each piece of Harakh fine jewelry is accompanied by a Reflection Card that carries a message about what inspired it and how it was created, personally written by Harakh Mehta.

Each piece of Harakh fine jewelry is crafted to the highest standards, using modern technology combined with ancient techniques passed down through the generations. The gold surface of pieces in the Sunlight collection is crafted gently by hand using a granulation technique that is similar to the Indian artisanal fabric decorating technique called “khadi” or “pota,” creating beads that are raised above the surface of the textile.
