Majoral: Baladre and Orígens new collections

January 2013

Majoral is a family company that has established itself as a brand of jewellery. Enric Majoral, who since 2003 has formed a team with his son Roc Majoral and with Abril Ribera, designs all the jewels.

The collections are made with artisanship in their own workshop, with a high degree of exigency in the production process. Nature is Majoral’s muse. It is reflected in nearly every work he creates as in Baladre and Orígens new collections.

In Baladre Collection the pieces are made from oleander leaves, the plant that is present throughout the Mediterranean that contains the simplicity and austerity of the forms and which suggests to us a stylised plant pattern, as it has historically done in decorative arts. with a thread of gold and diamonds gives the pieces a sensual, luminous and vital movement over a woman’s skin.

The Orígens collection takes us back to the origins of the Mediterranean civilisations, in which jewellery was created with gold beads like plant seeds, a symbol of fertility, abundance and also the origin of life. Seeds that unfold and open leaving a glimpse of interior spaces, with the mystery of the latency of life. Origins of time and of cultural richness; necklaces, earrings and bracelets in gold, diamonds and sapphires, fine and pure materials as the essence of this jewellery that make us dream of Etruscan princesses or maidens from Minoan culture.
