Zannetti Green Snake Jewellery Watch

November 2013

According to the Sumerians, the snake was the guardian of secrets, representing knowledge and the favourable power. In the bible, on the contrary, he is the “tempter” of the Eden; while, again in Ancient Greek times he represented rebirth and regeneration: famous is the symbol of the sanitary arts portraying the snake twisted around Asclepio’s sceptre.

For the ancient Egyptians represented the su¬premacy of God Ra protecting the Pharaoh from his enemies; it was a royal ornament and was wore as a miniature on the forehead. In the Hinduism culture he represented the goddess Kundalini, the Divine Cosmic Energy. In the Chinese culture he is a good luck talisman, a positive figure that we find also in Buddhism as Buddha guardian and Persian Mithraism. In ancient cultures and Mid-American religions is renowned as the plumed snake, named Quetzalcoatl, herald of civilisation and knowledge…

In the haute gamme of watchmaking his design has always been used for rings, bracelets, necklaces often highly precious, always sinuous in following the natural curves of this mysterious animal.

Zannetti, in his Snake reinterprets the figure in a magnificent and mysterious way. In this model for a feminine temperament the PVD black steel of the case juxtaposes an important pavè of precious stones: in most parts tsavorite, but also diamonds and rubies.

The result is a unique and highly precious watch especially made to impress and attract the audience. Refined with an obsessive precision, it proves Zannetti’s savoir faire and his natural ability to realise original and highly visual impressive watches.
