Following the positive results of 2011 – a renewal of the organizational format and the presence of around 12.000 visitors (35% of whom were foreigners), as well as an increase by 10% of exhibitors compared to 2010 – seems set to continue with this 2012 edition, which numbers around 500 exhibitors. Arezzo Fairs & Trade Show is ready to support OroArezzo’s renewed verve and face an ever-growing number of exhibitors’ applications. In fact, Arezzo Fairs & Trade Show is presently continuing the extension works of the fairs centre that were started some time ago.

“In addition to Pavilion 7 – says Raul Barbieri, Director of Arezzo Fairs & Trade Show – which has been launched during OroArezzo 2011 and hosts, like last year, the most important names of highest-quality Italian goldsmith, a new pavilion will be launched this year. It is called Gem Pavilion, and it will host the exhibition of precious gems and stones. The opening of a new pavilion is a confirmation of the direction’s will to widen the offer of the fairs centre and hence respond to the growing request of a commercial sector, the gem sector, that is strictly connected to goldsmith and jewelry”.

Along with gems and precious stones, OroArezzo 2012 will host its usual vast array of exhibition stands ranging from silversmith and trendy jewels, to stone-less jewelry, pearls, corals, cameos and semi-finished. There will also be a section dedicated to sector machinery, publishing and services. But there is another element of originality in this year’s OroArezzo edition: the full availability of the brand-new elegant Auditorium, which will host the opening show on 24 March. Première, the traditional OroArezzo contest that sets new jewel fashion trends for the year, will be a glamorous event showing the latest jewels and creations.

The great news of this 33rd AroArezzo edition, the exhibition of silversmith and jewelry from the major Italian goldsmith district, is Be-Jewel, a space entirely dedicated to the world of bijoux, which have now become a high-level accessory: glamorous creations, with a creative and trendy design, bijoux are strictly connected with the fashion world. Be-Jewel has been realized by OroArezzo in collaboration with Vogue Jewel and Vogue Accessory.

The liaison between fashion and jewel has already been celebrate over the last two years, thanks to the successful exhibitions Gold Up and Gold Hat-tittude, realized once again by OroArezzo in collaboration with Vogue. These exhibitions toured all around the world and gained visibility, success and approval. Thanks to Be-Jewel, this year OroArezzo takes another step towards the world of fashion by adding a business opportunity for a division that is gaining more and more market space in the luxury segment.

“Be-Jewel – follows Raul Barbieri – is a concrete response to a growing phenomenon such as high-level bijoux, the new essential fashion accessory. Bijoux are often the trendy completion for clothing, for they make it precious and distinctive. In terms of materials, bijoux could be defined as a surrogate of jewels; but, in terms of creativity and design, they have nothing to envy, and today they play an essential role in responding to the needs of prêt-a-porter fashion. Even though jewels are the unquestioned protagonist, bijoux can make people dream and fulfill their longing for luxury in an economically difficult moment.” Bijoux have a different role from traditional jewels: they cannot replaced them, but they can certainly gain a market niche mainly connected to the fashion world.

“We launched the Be-Jewel pavilion – concludes Barbieri – to open the doors to fashion buyers. Inside Be-Jewel, they will find around 30 prestigious and representative bijoux producing companies, all gathered in an elegant location, as well as functional for direct contact with buyers.”
