Cartier and the Rêves Suisse Association

December 2009

Since 2006, Cartier has been committed to helping children around the world through its LOVE collection and its Lovecharity limited edition bracelet

Love Charity bracelet, 18-carat rose gold ring set with a brilliant-cut diamond, white cord, limited edition.

It was in June 2009 that Cartier celebrated love by joining forces with the Rêves Suisse association dedicated to making sick children’s dreams come true. To support this cause, Cartier supplied its boutiques with the Love Charity bracelet and committed to donating 180 Swiss francs to the association for each bracelet sold. A message of hope knotted like a love cord wrap bracelet, this year’s Lovecharity bracelet by Cartier comes in rose gold set with a single diamond. Enhancing the warm glow of this precious metal, the silk cord of this limited series echoes the purity and innocence of the children helped by the Rêves Suisse association.

The mission of this association, of which the Swiss branch was created in 2006, is to enable children affected by serious diseases with a guarded prognosis to fulfil their dream. Each dream is unique and corresponds to the child’s personal desire. The purpose of the association is to bring a glimmer of hope into these children’s lives. Because fulfilling a dream brings a means of escaping from an often harsh daily reality; because a sick child needs to have a project to cling to; because giving them back their smile is a success in itself and may prove to be the first step towards healing.

In a ceremony held last week in Cartier’s Geneva Boutique, Cartier Suisse was delighted to officially present a 45,000 Swiss franc cheque to the president of the Rêves Suisse Association, Laurence Christen, and to its ambassadress Elodie Gossuin.
