Explosive Growth on Show Floor Leads to Sharp Increase in Cornerstone Retailers and International Buyers at Couture 2012.

The Beauty of the Couture Environment Defines Experience for Couture Community.

Couture 2012 closed last week to a strong sense of enthusiasm and optimism among both retailers and exhibitors. With a sharp 13% increase in the highly prized Cornerstone retailer attendance, as well as international buyers from markets as diverse as Spain, Russia and Venezuela, the Couture Community as a whole was thrilled to participate in this “crown jewel” of events. Additionally, the presence of timepiece exhibitors in Couture Time doubled this year, bringing an expanded element of interest among retailers.

“Couture is the only show that it’s a pleasure to go to,” enthused Kathy Tivol of Tivol Jewelers in Kansas City. “The retailers were more positive and interested this year, all of the amenities were more accessible, everything was so beautifully done. Thank you for letting me be a part of Couture.”

Reiterating the enjoyment of the overall Couture experience was Nancy Mann of Mann’s Jewelers, “The attention to detail here is unbelievable, this really does feel like home.” The exhibitors were equally thrilled with the reactions they were getting from the buyers on the show floor.

Alberto Petochi

Alberto Petochi, who launched his new 1884 Collection at the show this year noted, “The show has been great, much better than we even expected. Not only did all of our appointments show up, the walk through traffic of high quality retailers was phenomenal. The retailers here get the story, and they know how to sell the product.”

Marco Bicego

“The Couture Community has really embraced our collection,” said Moise Cohen, President of long-time exhibitor Marco Bicego. “Our synergies are aligned and we’re really pleased with the show.”

Sande Finkel, whose multi-brand salon, The Collective by Sande Finkel, showcased a diverse group of designers, explained, “This launch is a dream come true for me. We have created a destination for retailers and I feel that Couture is the home for each of these brands. The retailers here understand the product, and they know how to sell it.”

“We are delighted that our community is so pleased with the results of the show this year,” notes Gannon Brousseau, Group Show Director for Couture. “Our commitment to bringing together the best retailers with the best designers in the most elegant environment will continue to grow as we all expand as a community.”
