The site http://congress2010.cibjo.org offers online registration forms for the congress, as well as detailed information about the Congress venue hotel, other hotels and the rates available.

In addition, the site includes the draft congress programme, background material about Munich, the German jewellery industry and past CIBJO congresses. In the weeks leading up to the event, the digital Congress Binder will be made available for downloading, as well as a speakers list, speaker biographies and a press kit.

Given that the 2010 CIBJO congress coincides with the renowned inhorgenta 2010 fair, the ICM venue will allow congress registrants full access to the fair and other facilities offered by Messe Muenchen.

Karina Ratzlaff, president of the Federation of German Jewellery, Watches, Clocks, Silverware and Related Industries congratulated CIBJO on holding an annual CIBJO congress once again in Germany.

“We view this as a vote of confidence in Germany’s role and contribution to the international jewellery industry and trade. As the congress coincides with inhorgenta 2010, we hope this will encourage more international delegates to come and participate and also have a chance to take part in the fair, where so many of our members will be exhibiting and proudly representing the German jewellery industry,” Ratzlaff stated.

Preceding the CIBJO Congress, a gemmological mini conference about ruby gem stones will be held on Friday, February 19. More information about “Ruby Day” will be forthcoming and will also be made available on the dedicated congress website.
